The AACS Alumni Association has changed its name to the
“Air Force Communicators & Air Traffic Controllers Association”
On September 27, 2008, at the 32nd AACS Alumni Associations General Meeting, Branson, Missouri, the proposed change to the AACS Alumni Associations Constitution to change our name to "The Air Force Communicators & Air Traffic Controllers Association" (AF Comm & ATC), was approved. The vote included over 132 absentee ballots (105 yea and 27 nay) and the vote for approval by those present at the General Meeting was by acclamation. The name change was effective as of September 28, 2008.
The Original "AACS Logo" continues to be the Official Logo of the Association. While there are a number of legal and administrative actions that must be taken in regard to our Incorporation, our IRS 501 (c) (19) Authorization, State Certificates of Exemption of Sales and Use Tax and the ordering of new PX/BX items, nothing will really change. The Association continues to be committed to having a viable association in place when active duty civilians, airman and officers, retire or leave the service.
