Guest Speaker - Col Oscar "Oz" Delgado, Director of Communications, USAFE-AFAFRICA

Col Oscar Delgado is the Director of Communications for Headquarters, United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He is responsible for providing communications and information strategic direction, policy, and resources for USAFE-AFAFRICA forces. Additionally, he ensures these global forces have integrated, responsive, and reliable command and control, intelligence, and combat communications support. He supports NATO, unified commanders, coalitions, air and space expeditionary forces and USAFE-AFAFRICA units during wartime, operations other than war, contingencies, exercise and daily operations.

Col Delgado received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program upon graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. He has served as a squadron and group commander and various operational and staff assignments. Prior to his current position, the Colonel was the Chief, Cyberspace Division in the Joint Chiefs of Staff J6 directorate Pentagon, Washington D.C.
